Kwa-Zulu Natal is the eastern-most province of South Africa and is bound by the warm Indian Ocean in the East and Mozambique in the north. This subtropical region is popular with travellers who are attracted by its lush forests, large game parks, abundant birdlife, protected wetlands, towering mountains, gushing rivers, unspoilt beaches, battle-scarred history and its rich melting pot of cultures - Zulu, Indian, Anglo and Afrikaner.
The summer months, October through April, are hot and sunny. December to March is particularly humid along the coast, although light breezes cool the air. In the highlands rainy spells are interspersed with cool, misty periods. The winter is generally mild and dry.
