PEDIGREE DOG WALK

The Discovery 702 Walk the Talk event, taking place on 24 July 2011, is one of the biggest mass sports participation events in the world. This year, entries have been capped at a spectacular 50 000 but there’s still time for the public to enter with their energetic pooches.

Research has shown group exercise makes us healthier and happier, which explains why the dog walk has become such a popular feature of the Discovery 702 Walk the Talk.

A perky pack of 2 000 dogs in all shapes and sizes (including the beautiful Hush Puppies’ beagles), will join their families, and local celebrities, for a tail-wagging day of walking and socialising.

Pedigree is the Official Dog Walk Sponsor of the Discovery 702 Walk the Talk and will ensure that all four-legged walkers get the Very Important Pet treatment befitting man's best friend.

What can pooches expect?

• Pedigree will be setting up five Doggie Water Points along the five km route.
• An interactive Pedigree Park at the main finish area.
• A vet for any medical needs.
• Furry finishers will be spoilt with doggie goodie bags.
• On registration (20 July), participants will receive a Pedigree bandana and vouchers in their race pack which entitles them to two packs of Pedigree Dentastix and six Pedigree Wet Pouches at the finish.
